Will I be able to walk on my floors while they are being worked on?

You will be able to walk on them every day, but there will be some times during the day that you may have to stay off of them for a few hours. But we will always keep you informed.

Which is the best finish?

All finishes have advantages and disadvantages. Some finishes are more durable but they can emit strong fumes. Others are safer for the environment and emit less fumes, but they come in a wide range of durability. Others still can be more cost effective. Let us consult you on which would be the best for you.

Which is better: pre-finished or unfinished (sanded and finished on site) wood?

There are advantages and disadvantages to both. Let us consult you on which would be the best for you. The advantages of pre-finished wood flooring is that there’s no sanding, staining, or finishing, so there’s less odor. The disadvantage is that you are limited on color selections and pre-finished floors come with a beveled edge that may tend to be a “dirt catch.”

How much dust will there be?

The older "Dustless system" gets about 80-90% of the sanding dust, but the new "Dust Containment System" gets about 99.5% of the sanding dust, but the process is more expensive with the "Dust Containment System" so it costs a little more.
